Lim Yu Ke, the past subcommittee member of Energy Oasis, the CER Student Club, was accorded as one of the twelve Bayer Young Environmental Envoy 2011. Being the Bayer Young Environmental Envoy, he had designed, built and implemented his proposed environmental project. the Solar Driven Neighborhood Compost Tumbler at Kampung Senang, the organic farm located at Tampines. The project enables Kampung Senang to recycle the solid waste from their farm and the nearby BEST Supermarket into useful compost in a sustainable way. On 16 September 2011, after completion of the environmental project and undergone a judging interview, he received an award plaque at a formal awarding ceremony at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Singapore from the Guest of Honour, Dr Amy Khor. In addition, he was also accorded as one of the Best Four Bayer Young Environmental Envoy envoys, adjudged to have the best environmental projects and will join their counterparts from across four continents in an all-expense paid educational trip to Germany on October 15-22, 2011.
